Another Swing in Denver

The new site venture, In Denver Times — published by former Rocky Mountain News staffers after that paper folded earlier this year — is flopping. The reporters aren’t making any money, and that existence can only last so long.

Some of those reporters have jumped ship and are trying their hand at another new site, the Rocky Mountain Independent, that provides a blend of paid and free content (see story here).

The site will be supported largely by advertising with some columns and in-depth pieces available only to subscribers.

Let’s see if this experiment pays off…
